Since 2022, Mr. Hernandez has excelled since 2022 as a branch banking manager and vice president of Citi. Prior to this role, he served as the executive vice president of the Sequoia Federal Credit Union from 2020 to 2022. From 2015 to 2020, Mr. Hernandez was a branch manager for the San Mateo Credit Union, and from 2014 to 2015, he garnered experience as a senior banking center manager with Fremont Bank.
Mr. Hernandez began his career as a senior quality assurance engineer with the LogiGear Corporation and Openwave Mobility with Enea from 2002 to 2005. From 2010 to 2012, he was a store manager for Wells Fargo, after which he excelled with the company as a regional program manager of membership banking from 2012 to 2013. Following this role, Mr. Hernandez became a banking center manager with Fremont Bank.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Hernandez attended Arizona State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2002. In addition to his formal degree, he is a certified Credit Union Development Educator through the National Credit Union Foundation. For his professional excellence, he was recognized with a Credit Union Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award.
Mr. Hernandez attributes his success to the people who discouraged him and told him he could not achieve his goals. Drawing on this motivation, he has led a long and successful career and is proud of inspiring others to pursue excellence in their professions. In the future, Mr. Hernandez plans to continue finding success in his current endeavors. When he is not working, he enjoys playing golf.
