this children’s book is just too much fun

In Author Midge Ballou Smith’s new children’s book, Bert and Wert: We Do the Dirty Work, we are introduced to two Turkey Vultures who “live stream” exactly how they help keep the earth clean which includes projectile vomiting (gross!)

If my readers will allow this blogger a rare moment of pride, I introduce you all to my dear mother and her first-ever children’s book. After spending a lifetime raising us while teaching grade school-age kids full-time, my mother (now retired) decided to start writing. Like many authors, the journey from pen-on-paper to publication was long and arduous, but she stuck with it. Now, as her new book hits Amazon, her dream is finally a reality and our entire family is brimming with pride.
