The ultra-low-cost Irish airline Ryanair is notorious for its deliciously cheeky social media presence and its target today is none other than Tucker Carlson the former Fox News employee. See the shot across the bow they took today.
From sick burns to funny memes and everything in between, the ultra-low-cost Irish airline Ryanair has established quite a cheeky social media presence.
Taking a page out of Southwest Airlines’ playbook and creating a unique brand experience, the airline runs close to the edge with its spunky mindset and that includes its very snarky social media presence. Their team will take aim at its own passengers and customers from time to time. It also has a unique ability to ride the wave of whatever popular news story is making headlines.
This is, of course, why it is no surprise that the airline promptly put fired Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson in its sights.
In tweet posted last night, the airline shows Tucker sitting in a first-class / private seat and then mocks up a photo of him post-Fox News that shows him on none other than a Ryanair flight. Presumably lampooning his wealth as a news anchor and his poverty now that he’s joined the ranks of the unemployed.

Well done, Ryanair. While we could care less about Tucker Carlson (he’s rich, I am sure he’s fine) we definitely love Ryanair’s timely social media posts. Very on-brand for the airline. Nicely done, folks. Cheers.
