Zubair Ameen Ansari, MHA, Executive Director at Cancer Support Community, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in healthcare administration.
With more than 20 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Ansari has excelled as the executive director of Cancer Support Community since 2022. Prior to this position, he served as the executive director of reimbursement with Luminis Health from 2019 to 2022, the director of revenue cycle with the University of Maryland Medical System in 2018, the director of patient financial services with Kaiser Permanente from 2016 to 2018 and the director of patient financial services with Johns Hopkins Medicine International from 2014 to 2016. Operating at the head of business advisory and the manager of corporate CDM with the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre between 2009 and 2014, he previously worked as the manager of the regional referral center with Genesis Health System from 2008 to 2009. the supervisor for patient access with BJC HealthCare from 2005 to 2008 and a senior patient access representative for UnityPoint Health from 2000 to 2005. Mr. Ansari began his career as a volunteer with patient transport at a local hospital, where he witnessed much disparity and was inspired to resolve the inefficiencies he encountered in his field.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Ansari pursued an education at Augustana College, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology in 2000. He concluded his formal studies at the University of St. Francis in 2005, graduating with a Master of Healthcare Administration in health services administration. Attributing his success to his stellar work ethic, his education and his ability to craft good relationships with others, he was recognized with an Emerge Leadership Award from Augustana College and the Outstanding Service Award from Maryland Bros. Among the many highlights of his career, he is incredibly proud of his tenure at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre, during which time he helped obtain a six-level HIMSS certification, as well as the opportunity to host President Barack Obama at the Islamic Society of Baltimore in 2016. Looking toward the future, Mr. Ansari hopes to develop a new cancer support centers in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia to provide support to those in underserved communities while finalizing agreements with large healthcare providers to refer patients to no-cost cancer support.
