Rev. Phillip Klikas, PhD, the co-founder and chief executive officer at Child Initiative International, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of child advocacy.
Hailing from over 15 years of service on behalf of children, Rev. Klikas has earned distinction as the co-founder, chief executive officer and chairman of the board for Child Initiative International (CII), a nonprofit advocacy organization that seeks to empower communities to change their lives. In addition to having helped thousands of children throughout America – particularly in the state of Illinois – CII has availed itself in Uganda, Honduras and India as a support structure and educational facilitator for orphaned children, as well as those who have been victims of human trafficking. To support his nonprofit endeavors, Rev. Klikas has also become a published author with “The Mind of a Missionary” and “Beautifully Broken,” books whose proceeds go directly to CII.
Outside of his work in advocacy, Rev. Klikas has served as a corporate risk manager at Symons – Dayton Superior since 2005. In this capacity, he bears responsibility for negotiating construction contracts, handling legal collections and working with attorneys and litigators. Among his accomplishments in the field of finance, Rev. Klikas has also taught mid-career professionals at the National Association of Credit Management, where he was recognized as the Mentor of the Year in 2008.
Rev. Klikas previously served in law enforcement, after which he joined the U.S. Armed Forces, through which he remained active for over 25 years. Well-regarded for his subsequent accomplishments as an advocate, he was notably hailed as an honorary king in Uganda. Looking toward the future, he aspires to continue his career as a writer and help more children.
