A tragic story has emerged from the Middle East when a flight attendant was handcuffed to his car and burned alive after a childhood friend doused his car with gasoline in a dispute.
Bandar Al-Qarhadi, a 40-year-old flight attendant from Jeddah, and father of two, died after a dispute with a childhood friend that ended with him being handcuffed inside his car, doused with gasoline, and lit on fire.
According to World Today News, Al-Qarhadi, had stopped on the side of the road in an attempt to settle a longstanding dispute with a childhood friend. The friend, who was not identified, and Al-Qarhadi argued before Al-Qarhadi found himself handcuffed to the steering wheel, doused in petrol and lit aflame.
Witnesses reported Al-Qarhadi was able to free himself somehow and a now-viral video has emerged of him screaming in pain asking, “What did I do” and “Am I sweet?”
Al-Qarhadi was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.
The incident shocked the country of Saudi Arabia with widespread condemnation of the act. The perpetrator has been arrested and is facing criminal charges while the family grieves over the loss of their loved one.
